Some CHAFlers were allowed to experience a premiere on Thursday evening, 7.11.19. For the first time they attended a FLAB night shooting. The 2,5 hours journey from Zurich to S-chanf was worth it.
After a very friendly welcome by Colonel René Meier, the first part of the three-part evening started punctually at 17 hundred. With the Tour d’horizon, Mr. Meier not only brought us closer to the M FLAB, but also swivelled us into the future of this and that troop category. Extremely interesting and informative presented by means of a very well constructed and compiled PowerPoint presentation.
This was followed in the second part by the Apéro riche. Also with this the visitors were extremely fine and generously fed. Of course, this was also used for networking and information exchange. First and foremost our president, who soon disappeared in the crowd of AdA’s (mainly officers and higher non-commissioned officers).
At 7 pm it was time to gather the groups and move them to the firing range, because the third and last part was long awaited by the guests. The AdA’s of M Flab Abt 32 showed us a short but impressive demonstration, because we probably could have followed the bright projectiles in the sky half the night. 😊
