TdA / visiting day: infantry school 11-1, company 3

...at home in many epochs...

Not only the weather, but also the Company 3 of the Infantry School 11-1 presented itself from its best side on this day.

After the transfer from the barracks to the firing range by shuttle, the visitors were already waiting for coffee and croissants before Mr. Oblt Läng (Company Commander) officially welcomed the present with a great welcoming speech at 9:30 am. Then the large number of visitors was divided. Half of them were allowed to take part in the draught combat shooting on the subject of terrain searches, the other half were allowed to visit the simulation exercise in the house and village combat facility. Afterwards we changed.

With a lot of impressions and powder smoke in the nose we went by shuttle back to the barracks, where already the delicious lunch (Hörnli and Ghackets with dessert) was waiting for the visitors. After lunch the school commander, Colonel i Gst Häsler, stepped up to the lectern in the multipurpose hall and praised the work of his soldiers. He also paid tribute to his squad, in particular to Mr. Lt Stauffacher (Deputy Kadi) and Mr. Oblt Läng (Kp Kdt).

After the speech, the visitors were able to make mistakes at various stands and activities. Among other things one could measure oneself in simulation shooting, ride along with a tank in the so-called “Panzertaxi” (Piranha, GMTF), examine the Piranha (Radschützenpanzer 93, MOWAG) or the GMTF (Geschützter Mannschaftstransporter, MOWAG) thoroughly or examine the extensive exhibition of weapons and equipment.

All in all a very great day, with many good impressions of our soldiers and their deployment. Daniel from CHAF was there for you.
