1 May Bunker Hike 2018 – Association fortress belt Kreuzlingen

...at home in many epochs...

In the course of a circular hike we experienced various fortified structures from different eras and were informed about current developments in our army at the same time.

At two bunkers from the Second World War (A 5650 and A 5651) we were shown the careful and appropriate restoration work by our bunker gods. From the Castell ruins we enjoyed a wonderful panoramic view of the Wollmatingerried and the Untersee, and we learned more about the historical significance of this castle on the road from Constance to Zurich. Finally at a third location a modern combat vehicle of the company GDELS (MOWAG) was presented to us and we were informed about the current reforms in our army (WEA). The common lunch then took place again at the place of departure at the Forsthof Tägerwilen. Like every year it was again a successful event with a large number of visitors.

From the association CHAF Linda with Joel and four-legged friends Itchy and Daniel were also present.
